Well, there's always PMs. No...not PMS, PMs - aka Personal Messages. You can PM a Time Lord that doesn't have an assistant and ask, or you can start a thread and put {Time Lord} somewhere in the title, signaling you want a Time Lord to come and play. The same goes for Time Lords who are interested in having an assistant [which is not required.] But remember, not everyone is going to want a Time Lord or assistant, so be prepared for them to say "No thank you, I'm not interested.” Also, the Plot Bunnies board is a great place to plot.

Here on Doctor When, we have some preferences. Third person-past. Meaning it shouldn't be using words like "I, us, we" without dialog. For more about this, read the Rules, the "RP Content" section.

Well, they live in a different type of world then normal people do. They have purple eyes, green hair, and psycho emotions. It's just to make sure everyone who is supposed to be a humanoid looks just that.

Take a deep breath and read this. The password is a two-part phrase [meaning two words] that are located in the Rules and Plot. They are the only two underlined words in those two documents. There is also a SPACE BETWEEN THEM when you type in the password into the character creation board

Since on this site you can play everything from an Alien to a human, all sides can be covered in an alien attack that requires the attention of a Time Lord and a possible assistant. Also, you can Rp day-to-day life as a human, Time Lord, or Alien. Not every thread has to be epic. If you're character is an alien, and you would enjoy a large scale attack, PM other aliens, and if the agree [or at least a few of them], PM the staff member for a 'site wide' thread that is truly epic...or simply check out the Plot Bunnies board, and plan something epic htere.

In short - no. I have a few reasons for each:
•Master: No, he's "dead"...really dead this time. I swear.
•Jenny: She hasn't happened – since that takes place AFTER season 3, taking a plot twist that cuts her out of the plot completely.
•Jack: simply wrong Universe.
•Rose: Taken
•Martha: wrong Universe
•Donna: Even with the recent significance of her, no. The Doctor and her only met briefly, before she wanted to go home to explore the Earth, and - with the site's plot - that's the end of Donna.
•All other CANNON characters: WRONG Universe.
The plot takes place in an 'Adjacent Universe' - meaning different people and history then ours.
THOUGH...if you have an epic enough [and I mean like...brings happy tears to my eyes] idea with a CANON character, PM ME. I'm going to be super picky, super selective, and it probably won't work...but if it is amazing enough...it just might

Well...let us know. If you randomly poof for months on end - and we happen to have an activity check (which all would be informed of, via mass email) and you don't reply...there's a large chance your account will be deleted. Your bio is still there however. The Official LOA Thread is made to prevent these issues. If you're gone for awhile and we don't have an activity check - you will most likely have your character set to "inactive". Just PM a staff to fix this. Also - if you want your character back after being deleted because of disappearing for an extended period of time, just re-register with the same username, and we'll square the rest away...just PM the staff. M'k?

There are several reasons why the bio wasn't approved.
•Your celebrity was already taken.
•Everything was really short and vague [detail is the key]
•You made a bio for a character that is unavailable - IE a cannon character [in this case, the thread will be locked and moved into the Denied Bios board - since there is no fixing something that is unusable.
•Some details are just wrong
•No avatar up
•Display name not changed to character name

There is an exception to this for a bio not being completely 'approved' - there is no need for that character at this moment. I might be a little slow at times - I blame lack of sleep - but I'm still pretty crafty and have a lot of plot-altering ideas up my sleeve [IE super villains, possible reappearance of cybermen/daleks, etc...].

Sort of! Within this alternate dimension where the Doctor never existed, Torchwood never came to be. Instead there is an organization by the name of Whitechapel, which you can read more about here. There is another organization that is working against Whitechapel, organized in the 21st century by the name of I.O.

Well...technically all of them. Sure, most people are attached to the 21^st Century, since we all know it the best – but you can make a character for any time. Time Lord wise, though, it takes place twenty-two years after the Time War.

That’s an excellent question. It’s so good, in fact, that I even made an entire thread.

Of course! We love evil! There’s never enough evil! Man, that sounded strange…ANYWAY, yes – evil is good. Though, you need to have a reason for them being evil. True, people/aliens can be born evil, they should have something that makes their evil justified. Every bad guy thinks what they’re doing is right – not evil. Also, don’t make him just like the Master…and don’t write him to be the Doctor’s enemy. Just see how everything plays out – and who knows? Maybe s/he and the Doctor may meet and not see eye-to-eye.

STOP RIGHT THERE! One thing I really want to push with this site, is that it is not Doctor-centric. He is simply a character that was used to take you from the Universe you’re used to, to this current one. I’m not saying, “YOU CAN’T RP WITH THE DOCTOR – MUAHAHAHA!” because that’s stupid. If you have a solid plot idea that would involve really any Time Lord and feel like dealing with me, shoot a PM my way.

Yes – Sammie, Affi, Riley, and I tend to come up with some pretty awesome plot twists and how we do it really isn’t a secret. We simply spend a lot of time thinking about it (okay most of the time) and talk constantly online. We build off each others’ ideas until we have this super-massive-epic-thread, that we might be attacking random members to join us in. That’s all. You can do it too! If you want to think up a site-wide plot, please take into account plots that have already been done so you don't create a duplicate plot that will be shot down.
