Random/Different Facts Things that are different in this Universe/site, or are simply not covered anywhere else
Time War Details: The Time War lasted 200 years, and ended 22 years ago (from current Time Lord time ) It was between Time Lords, Daleks, and Cybermen. They were all enemies before hand, but everything spiraled out of control and the war began. Now, both species (minus Time Lords) should be extinct (though Daleks are rising again upon Ohw), and the Time Lord race is still rebuilding after 22 years.
Time Lord Babies Since Time Lords live for such a long time, they have a lower sex-drive then most species. With this low-drive comes less fertile women - yet the men remain just the same, for reasons that boggle Time Lordian scholars. Of course, different drives run different Time Lords - but for the most part, they would rather save the universes with several hundred years of abstinence, rather then go get a hooker and get laid for the hell-of-it....for most Time Lords, anyway. Because of the low-fertility of the Time Ladies, the "loom" method of conceiving was created. Though it has remained a mystery when the method first came into play - for some say its as old as the Time Lords themselves - it still is the most-commonly used method. The loom takes the genetics and samples from the two Time Lords who wish to have a child, and weaves them together, and holds the child much like a womb, until it is developed enough for the parents to properly care for it. Both the looming and the sex method of child conception are used on Gallifrey, and take an entire Earth-year to complete - whether its in the womb or in the loom - though some Time Lord families find one method as 'tradition,' and bash the other for whatever reason. Looming isn't "personal" and sex is "dirty", are the two most common arguments. Though, the difference in Time Lord and human mating rituals is small - yet still there. For instance, its less common for Time Lords to date several other Time Lords in a short period of time - most see the tactic in just being friends and avoid the whole 'breakup' issue. As Time Lords indulge more and more in human culture - much to the fretting of the Time Lord President - different means of affection have began to surface upon Gallifrey - like hand holding, touching in any way, and basically PDA (public display of affection). There is no difference in a loom-baby and a womb-baby, though it is rumored that womb-babies are more reckless, and loom-babies are more scholarly.
Time Lord Aging Before they regenerate for the first time, they age only slightly slower then a human would. Once they are born - with whatever tactic that brought them into the world - they grow at the rate of the aging of one year to a human, in two years. Once they grow into a full adult-sized-person, their aging slows slightly more, but not to its full extent. With whatever misfortune or old age that throws them into their first regeneration, comes the full extent of slowed aging. They age at what looks like 30 years worth of aging to a human, in 100 years. It does slightly vary from Time Lord to Time Lord, though. The gene that forces their bodies to grow old, sometimes favors some, while hating others. In general, though, that's how a Time Lord ages.
Torchwood? Since there was no Doctor in this Universe, this means that there was no invention of Torchwood. But who deals with alien life upon Earth? Who saves the Universe from little green men, while the Time Lords are busy? Click here for all details pertaining to the forces that protect Earth.
